Fort Worth Girl, 14, Stabbed To Death: Report

The victim was a student at Wedgwood Middle School. No arrests have been made.

FORT WORTH, TX — A 14-year-old girl died early Tuesday after she was stabbed at an apartment complex in south Fort Worth, various media outlets report.

The victim was later identified as Nylah Lightfoot, 14, a Wedgwood Middle School student, the Fort Worth Star-Telegram reported. She was first found injured around 4:00 a.m. in the 8000 block of Peyton Lane.

Lightfoot died at John Peter Smith Hospital not long after she was transported.

The Star-Telegram wrote she lived a few blocks away at an apartment in the 7500 block of Chance Boulevard. It's not clear why she was at the Peyton Lane location.

A young female girl was identified as a suspect but has not been taken into custody, the newspaper reported. Her identity was not released.
