Four Arrests Made In Murder Investigation

Eduardo Orellana, 43, was found bleeding and passed outside his apartment Sept. 19. He later died at the hospital.

DALLAS, TX -- The Dallas Police Department has charged four men with capital murder following the death of a 43-year-old man Sept. 19 in North Dallas. Eduardo Orellana was found passed out and bleeding outside his apartment at 3333 Webb Chapel Extension, DPD wrote in a news release. Orellana was taken to Parkland Hospital where he died.

The following four men were arrested Oct. 31 and charged with Orellana's death:

  • Corey Smith, 20
  • Michael McCoy, 20
  • Dominique Mangum, 21
  • Edward Roper, 20

Bail was set by a Dallas County Magistrate at $500,000 for Dominique Mangum and Edward Roper and $200,000 for Corey Smith and Michael McCoy, DPD added.
