- A Dallas tech entrepreneur who labeled himself the "Frack Master" has been sentenced to 15 years in federal prison after admitting he bilked investors out of millions, using the money to fund a lavish lifestyle involving supercars and luxury travel. Christopher A. Faulkner, 44, was sentenced last month before U.S. District Judge Jane Boyle. In addition to the prison sentence, Faulkner was ordered to pay $92.4 million in restitution. - A Dallas man is facing a second-degree manslaughter charge after police say he admitted to fatally shooting another man with an Airsoft rifle. Dallas police said 29-year-old Miguel Angel Moreno-Lara waived his rights and gave detectives a statement about what happened Sunday night inside his apartment on Larga Drive. Moreno-Lara is being held in the Dallas County Jail on a $75,000 bond. (NBC 5 Dallas-Fort Worth)
- Police Chief Eddie Garcia and Mayor Eric Johnson have announced a new plan to reduce domestic violence in Dallas. Among other things, it calls for expanding the police department's domestic violence unit and resuming home visits. (D Magazine)
- Dallas fire stations' emergency alert system is failing, causing firefighters to miss calls. The frequency of issues has increased in the last year and a half, and officials have assigned a dispatcher to call fire stations. (The Dallas Morning News)
- Drivers should expect lane and ramp closures overnight through Friday as crews work on the Lowest Stemmons project along Interstate 35E in downtown Dallas. (NBC 5 Dallas-Fort Worth)
