Here are the top three stories in Dallas today:

  1. The Frank Crowley Courthouse was evacuated on Thursday after smoke was spotted on the seventh floor. Dallas Fire-Rescue responded to the courthouse and searched for the cause of the smoke. Everyone was allowed back into the courthouse after the fire crews determined burnt food caused the smoke. (NBC 5 Dallas-Fort Worth)
  2. Democrat Beto O'Rourke has announced his statewide People of Texas Campaign from an education town hall in Dallas. The town hall will occur this Sunday at 2:30 p.m. at the Northaven United Methodist Church. Everyone in the community is encouraged to attend. O'Rourke is running for governor against Gov. Greg Abbott. (NBC 5 Dallas-Fort Worth)
  3. The Dallas Police Department is asking for the public's help in searching for the Marfa Avenue shooter. The incident occurred on March 2 in the 1300 block of Marfa Avenue and left two men hospitalized with gunshot wounds. The victims are currently in stable condition at a local hospital. Anyone with information related to the shooting is being directed to contact Detective Brandon Koch. (CBS Dallas / Fort Worth)
