Freezing Temperatures Expected Overnight For Dallas

Temperatures could drop as low as 18 degrees in parts of North Texas. Make sure you're prepared.

DALLAS, TX — The National Weather Service is predicting a hard freeze Thursday night for all of North Texas. Temperatures in some parts of the Metroplex, especially in the areas of Graham, Breckenridge and Eastland, will plunge as low as 18 degrees.

Residents in Dallas and Fort Worth will experience a milder freeze, but temperatures as cold as 28 degrees are possible. The Weather Service warns unprotected outdoor plants could be killed in the freeze, and all outdoor pets should be brought inside.

Although precipitation was low Thursday, some roads and bridges might be icy during Friday morning's commute. Temperatures will rise Friday to 51 degrees, and skies are expected to be clear.
