Girl On Mission To Hug Officers In Every State Stops In Dallas
Rosalyn, 7, brought Dallas officers a special gift Tuesday — loving hugs. She visited as part of her mission to hug cops in all 50 states.

DALLAS, TX — One 7-year-old girl is on a mission to hug police officers in all 50 states. In her quest, she stopped Tuesday and Wednesday in Dallas to visit and hug officers from the very department that originally gave her the idea to share love with law enforcement.
Rosalyn Baldwin, a Louisiana native, set out to hug police officers nationwide after seeing coverage of the 2016 shooting that left five Dallas police officers dead. She was inspired to "unite communities by demonstrating her sincere love and appreciation for those who have committed their lives to serving and protecting the people of our nation," according to her website, RosalynLoves.com.
After church one day, Rosalyn asked her mom, "I know I'm a little girl... but I have a big heart. Will you and Daddy please help me do this?" Her parents decided to support her mission, so they set up a GoFundMe page. That page has now raised $8,740 to help her family cover the expenses associated with traveling to all 50 states.

Roslyn told NBC5, “I want to give them hugs because I want to help them with all these things they have to do,” she said. “Because they’re important and our heroes are dying and I need to do something about it.”
Rosalyn has hugged officers in places like Tennessee, North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, Virginia, Florida, Alabama, Mississippi, Louisiana and Texas. Before traveling to Dallas, Rosalyn stopped in Houston to hug officers and meet Pastor Joel Osteen of Lakewood Church.

Her mother, Angie Baldwin, told NBC5 the family is taking a break from travel to rest and celebrate the holidays, but that they will be back on the road in the new year. Rosalyn still has 25 states to visit before she reaches her goal. You can support her mission here.
