- The Dallas Police Department is asking for the public's help in identifying the person who abandoned two guinea pigs. The animals were recovered from a business in the 1400 block of N. Fitzhugh Avenue. The department reports that the guinea pigs are doing well. Anyone with information regarding the incident is asked to contact the department's Animal Cruelty Detective or Crime Stoppers. (FOX 4 News Dallas-Fort Worth)
- A Dallas college student has won the World Food Championship. Chef Preston Nguyen, 19, is the youngest chef to ever win the prestigious World Food Championship Final Table challenge. Nguyen won a $100,000 prize. (CW33 Dallas)
