Harmony Public Schools-North Texas Honors Partners Supporting Students

Harmony Public Schools-North Texas honored community organizations, families, volunteers and educators whose support is helping expand opportunities for nearly 11,000 students across the North Texas region.

The recognitions took place during the district’s annual Partners in Education Celebration in Grand Prairie, where Harmony leaders highlighted the role of community partnerships in supporting students through school supply donations, mentorship, STEM programming, family engagement, staff appreciation, leadership development and campus-based support.

“At Harmony Public Schools, we firmly believe that educating a child takes a community,” North Texas Area Superintendent Harun Karan said. “Because of each of you, our schools are not just places of learning, but thriving environments where students are inspired to grow, achieve and lead.”

The event brought together district leaders, campus representatives, families and community partners from across Harmony’s 18 North Texas campuses.

The celebration also recognized elementary honorees for their contributions to student success and school community engagement. Reynisha Armand Chandler was named Elementary Parent of the Year for her volunteerism and continued campus involvement supporting students and families. Rebecca Wampler of Harmony Science Academy-Garland received Elementary Teacher of the Year honors for her instructional leadership and commitment to student achievement.

Community partners and supporters recognized during the celebration included:

• Replenish School Supplies — Recognized for more than six years of school supply donations and community partnerships supporting Harmony students, teachers and campuses.
• Fort Worth Families Forward — Recognized for advocacy and community engagement supporting Fort Worth campuses and families.
• Girls Inc. of Metropolitan Dallas — Recognized for STEM and leadership programming supporting female scholars across multiple Harmony campuses.
• Prash Kumar — Recognized for mentorship, donations and advocacy supporting student success, including his work with Harmony’s District Advisory Council, Alumni Program and Success Leadership Network Fellowship.
• BC Mobile Resources — Recognized for volunteerism, donations and financial support benefiting several North Texas campuses.
• Advancial Federal Credit Union — Recognized for sponsoring staff appreciation events across Harmony’s North Texas campuses.
• Gideon Math & Reading Center — Recognized for supporting Garland-area campuses, students, staff and school communities.
• Leader Within Us — Recognized for supporting leadership development across the Harmony school community.
• Crafted for You Catering & Events — Recognized for supporting staff appreciation efforts and catering the celebration luncheon.
• Jim Adler & Associates — Recognized for more than five years of campus support, including backpack donations, student events and staff appreciation efforts.
• Top Leaders Martial Arts — Recognized for campus engagement and student enrichment, including weekly karate clubs and support for school events.

District leaders also thanked additional community partners, donors and volunteers whose ongoing support continues to benefit students, staff and school communities across Harmony Public Schools-North Texas.
