- Researchers at UT Southwestern Medical Center are conducting a study to learn about the effects of extreme heat waves on the human body. Participants of the study spend time in a chamber that simulates a heat wave for three hours. The individuals' vitals are monitored by researchers. The researchers are hoping that the study will provide solutions to beating the heat in North Texas. (NBC 5 Dallas-Fort Worth)
- A South Dallas clinic is distributing over 300 doses of the Monkeypox vaccine. The HOPE Health and Wellness Center on Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard is distributing the vaccine to eligible individuals by appointment only between designated hours on Thursday through Saturday. - The suspected shooter at a Dallas area youth football game has turned himself into the authorities. Yaqub Salik Talib, 39, reportedly shot an opposing team's coach during an altercation over officiating on Saturday. Talib is the brother of former NFL player Aqib Talib. The shooting is still under investigation. (CNN)

- The Dallas Police Department is asking the community to help it locate missing man, Kishi Bell. He went missing in the 3500 block of South Buckner Boulevard on Aug. 14. Anyone with information is asked to contact the department. (Dallas Police Department via Facebook)
