Homicide Suspect Arrested In Mesquite

MESQUITE, TX -- A 22-year-old man from Balch Springs has been arrested and charged with murder following a shooting February 18, according to the Mesquite Police Department. Nathan Anthony Barrientos has been charged with the death of Edgar Murillo, 32, of Dallas, MPD said in a news release.

Murillo was found shot in a vehicle suffering from multiple gunshot wounds in a parking lot in the 2200 block of Parkside Drive at 10:45 p.m., MPD said.

Barrientos is charged with capital murder and his bond has been set at $100,000, MPD said.
