Hotel Resident Shoots Would-Be Intruder: Police
Police say the would-be intruder kicked in a hotel door moments before the shooting.

DALLAS, TX — One person was shot dead Wednesday afternoon when he tried to break into a hotel room in northeast Dallas, police say.
Officers were sent to a call in the 10200 block of North Walton Walker Boulevard around 6:00 p.m. Wednesday. Police said a hotel resident had called 9-1-1 to report that he had shot an intruder.
Police found the victim, an unidentified man, unconscious and wounded from a gunshot.

The victim was taken to Parkland Memorial Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Witnesses reported seeing the man arguing with the resident of the hotel room before kicking in the door, police said.

No arrests have been made in the shooting.
