The game cannot be streamed on TV or via the MLB At Bat App. Here's how you can watch.

ARLINGTON, TX — The Texas Rangers will face off Wednesday against the Seattle Mariners at Safeco Field but, unlike most games, the match can't be watched on TV.

The particular game, which begins at 2:40 p.m., Central Time, can only be watched on Facebook Watch.

As a result, this game will not be accessible through live video on any television (FOX Sports Southwest) or digitally via MLB.TV or MLB At Bat app.

The game will be produced by the MLB Network. Former Rangers pitcher Colby Lewis will be part of the broadcast team with play-by-play announcer Rich Waltz and co-analyst Harold Reynolds.

1. How do I get to Facebook Watch to access the MLB Live games? (Facebook account required)
  • From Computer/Desktop
    • Scroll down and you will see the video automatically playing (if game in progress)
    • If game has not started, no video will be playing (but a post has already been made that will show the video feed)
  • From Phone
    • Download and/or launch the Facebook app
    • Search for “MLB Live” in the search bar at the top
    • Click on the MLB Live page
    • Scroll down and you will see the video automatically playing (if game in progress)

2. I don’t have a Facebook account. How can I watch the game?
  • Live video of these games is exclusive to Facebook Watch.
    • Games will not be accessible through live video on television (FSSW) or digitally via MLB.TV or MLB At Bat app.
    • Fans who do not have a Facebook account may listen to the live local radio broadcast on 105.3 FM The FAN (English) and 1270 AM (Spanish) or any station on the Rangers Radio Network or follow free pitch-by-pitch tracking on

3. Why is this game only on Facebook Watch?

  • MLB and Facebook agreed to a partnership which will distribute one weekday afternoon game per week exclusively on Facebook Watch.
  • MLB wants to continue experimenting through additional means of delivering baseball broadcasts to a large and diverse audience; as well as utilizing new creative broadcast production elements to learn how fans want to consume and interact with games on a social platform.
  • Facebook has an active sports community of 700 million fans around the world.
