Here are the top three stories in Dallas today:

  1. The owner of Petland Dallas is suing the city for its Humane Pet Store Ordinance. The lawsuit alleges that the city's ordinance will put Petland Dallas out of business. The business is asking for $1,000,000 and an injunction preventing the ordinance from going into effect. If the lawsuit fails, the ordinance takes effect in November. (NBC 5 Dallas-Fort Worth)
  2. The Dallas County Sheriff's Department is investigating a fatal Sunday morning crash. The incident occurred on Interstate 20 near the S. Polk Street exit. According to the department, the driver lost control of the vehicle but did not hit any other vehicles. (FOX 4 News Dallas-Fort Worth)
