- The Dallas Fire-Rescue Department is conducting an investigation into the Dallas 911 Call Center. The investigation is focused on a recent apartment building fire that was not reported to the Fire-Rescue Department for nearly 6 minutes. According to the Dallas Firefighters Association, it usually takes less than a minute for the Dallas 911 Call Center to report fires to the department. (WFAA.com)
- A flatbed tractor-trailer caught on fire after crashing through a residential fence on Friday morning. The flatbed tractor-trailer reportedly left Interstate 635 before crashing through the fence and hitting a nearby shed. As of Friday evening, the cause of the incident and the status of the driver has not been determined. (NBC 5 Dallas-Fort Worth)
- The City of Dallas is suing the promoter of the Epic Easter Bike Out and Field Party that resulted in a deadly shooting on Apr. 2, 2022. The city claims the event was illegally advertised as being safe due to dozens of security staff, metal detectors, and a ban on bags. According to the city, none of those security claims were factual. (Dallas Observer)
