Here are the top three stories in Dallas today:
- Some schools are making changes to deal with the latest COVID-19 surge as they return from break this week. The Dallas Independent School District announced it is extending its mask mandate for students through spring break, which was originally set to end after the MLK Day holiday. (FOX 4 Dallas)
- On Monday, four people were arrested after leading Mesquite police on a 5-mile pursuit that ended in Dallas. Around 1:45 a.m. at Samuell and Big Town boulevards, Mesquite Police attempted to stop a vehicle and, when it did not stop, they pursued it for roughly five miles. Police eventually were able to stop the vehicle at the 6100 block of Greenmere Place in Pleasant Grove. (Free: CSU World Record Subscription: The Dallas Morning News)
- The Arizona Cardinals held on to beat the Dallas Cowboys 25-22 at their home stadium. The outcome left the Cowboys and Cardinals with matching 11-5 records after Arizona ended a three-game skid and stopped the NFC East champion's four-game winning streak.
