Here are the top three stories in Dallas today:

  1. The Dallas Independent School District has a plan for post-pandemic learning improvements. According to the new superintendent Stephanie Elizalde, the district will seek to continue posting double-digit gains in core subjects on STAAR testing. The biggest piece of the plan's puzzle is the retention of central staff. The district recently passed additional compensation and incentive packages for staff. (D Magazine)
  2. The Perot Museum has a new exhibit - Becoming Jane: The Evolution of Dr. Jane Goodall. The exhibit is a National Geographic exhibit that will be hosted at the museum until Sept. 5. The defining features of the exhibit are a research tent replica, stuffed chimpanzees, letters, photos, and a hologram project of Dr. Goodall. (CW33 Dallas)
  3. Residents can provide feedback on Dallas' updated biking network plan. The city has published an online survey that can be taken until Jul. 17. The survey results will be used to ensure that the city's biking network is comfortable, safe, and direct. Click to take the survey today. (Community Impact Newspaper)
