Man faces murder charges for deadly shooting in Dallas

Deadly shooting that stemmed from a dispute in Dallas on June 24th results in murder charges for the shooting suspect

Dallas - The Dallas Police Department has announced that a male individual is facing murder charges following a dispute that escalated into a fatal shooting.

The deadly encounter unfolded on Hartsdale Drive on the 24th of June, 2023.

Responding to a distress call from the 1100 block of Hartsdale Drive, the Dallas Police found a man who had been fatally shot. The Dallas Fire-Rescue, upon arrival, pronounced the man dead on the scene. His body was then moved to the Dallas County Medical Examiner's Office for a post-mortem examination.

Initial findings from the police investigation suggested a heated argument between 51-year-old Alcides Solano and the deceased, which subsequently led to the tragic shooting. The autopsy, performed on June 26, 2023, verified the homicide as the cause of death.

Solano, originally booked on an aggravated assault charge, is now facing murder charges. Currently, he is detained at the Dallas County Jail.

Efforts to officially identify the victim are underway by the Dallas County Medical Examiner's Office. The investigation into this case, carrying the reference number 115777-2023, is ongoing.
