  1. 20-year-old Edgar Ramirez faces a murder charge in connection to the deadly shooting of his 19-year-old ex-girlfriend Carmen Galilea Deanda Ramos in Dallas. After being read his Miranda rights, officers with Dallas PD said Ramirez admitted to killing Ramos and leaving her body in a field in the 1000 block of North Dwight Avenue. After he fatally shot Ramos in the field, he drove her vehicle to another location in Dallas and set it on fire. (NBC 5 Dallas-Fort Worth)
  2. What will be downtown Dallas' largest park is taking shape in the shadow of I-345. On track for a spring opening on the east side of downtown — pending the city's public works department finishing up construction on Pacific Avenue to the immediate south — Carpenter Park will boast ample lawns and amenities including walking trails, a dog park, a basketball court, and public art.
