Mesquite, Texas - In answer to concerns raised by families and staff about the early commencement of elementary schools, the Mesquite Independent School District (MISD) has taken immediate steps to address this issue, leveraging the knowledge of its Transportation Department to devise a practical solution.

The main goal is to align the adjusted schedule with the district's transportation needs, thereby establishing a more balanced arrangement.

With the new schedule, elementary schools will now start at 7:50 a.m. and end at 3:20 p.m. Middle schools will open at 8:10 a.m. and close at 3:40 p.m. On the other hand, high schools will begin at 8:30 a.m. and finish at 4:00 p.m.
