  1. Dallas' Mockingbird Station will present a new immersive metaverse experience beginning Friday. The first-of-its-kind, full-body virtual reality experience will feature "Holodecks" allowing participants to engage and explore new worlds. The experience is titled "Sandbox VR" and will offer five different virtual reality experiences. (CultureMap Dallas)
  2. The Dallas City Council will be considering a settlement in a long-standing feud between Southwest Airlines and Delta Air Lines. The feud centers around Love Field and gate space for the two airlines. The proposed settlement would potentially ensure that Delta will be able to operate at the airport for the next six years.   3. Friends Of The Dallas Public Library's annual gala will be on Thursday, Oct. 20 on the Central Library's sixth floor. This year's gala theme will be "Love Local." The event will be celebrating local talent while honoring the library staff's efforts throughout the COVID-19 pandemic. (My Sweet Charity)
