Here are the top stories in Dallas today:

  1. Police have released more information about the murder of Abigail Saldana, a 22-year-old Dallas woman who was discovered dead of multiple gunshot wounds in her crashed vehicle earlier this week. Officers arrested 54-year-old Stanley Szeliga in connection with Saldana's death at his apartment on Wednesday. They found evidence he had been stalking and harassing Saldana prior to the shooting, and may have put a tracking device on her vehicle. Szeliga is currently being held for murder on a $250,000 bond at the Forth Worth jail. (FOX 4 Dallas)
  2. Two Station 25 firefighters who were injured in an apartment explosion in Dallas last month were reunited this week at an inpatient rehabilitation center. Captain Chris Gadomski and Driver Engineer Ron Hall were among the eight people who were injured during the Sept. 29 explosion at the Highland Hills Apartments. Both firefighters had been in treatment for their burns and injuries at Parkland Hospital since the incident. Hall was released last week to the Zale Lipshy Pavilion inpatient rehab facility, and Gadomski was transferred to the same facility on Wednesday. Gadomski was escorted in by officials from Station 25 so he and Hall could be reunited and continue their recovery together. (NBC 5 Dallas-Fort Worth)
  3. To get into the Halloween spirit this week, nurses in the neonatal intensive care unit at Methodist Dallas Medical Center dressed up their patients as adorable first responders, using costumes that were crocheted especially for the NICU babies. (CBS Dallas / Fort Worth)
  4. The Two x Two Gala and art auction, one of Dallas' grandest fall galas, returned to the Rachofsky House last weekend after a pandemic hiatus and raised an eye-popping $11 million — over 10 percent of the $104 billion total the galas have raised over the last 22 years. (CultureMap Dallas)
