1. The Dallas Police Department found a man fatally shot in the 6700 block of Eastridge Drive. The incident occurred early Tuesday morning after a resident reported a body lying on the sidewalk. The department has not identified the man but will be conducting an investigation into the shooting. (The Dallas Morning News)
2. The Dallas City Council is attempting to speed up the city's permitting process. The city is currently experiencing a housing crisis that is negatively impacted by a delayed permitting process caused by outdated software and deficient workflow.
