Perot Museum Launches Soccer Exhibition as North Texas Prepares the World Cup

The Perot Museum of Nature and Science has opened "Soccer: More Than a Game," a 10,000-square-foot interactive exhibition timed to bracket the upcoming FIFA World Cup. The exhibit’s timing is purposeful. AT&T Stadium in Arlington will host more matches than any other venue in the tournament.

The exhibit was developed in collaboration with Mexico City's Museo Interactivo de Economía, and blends STEM education with hands-on soccer challenges across 20 engagement zones. Patrons and kids can roam a sprawling array of stations exploring everything from biomechanics to data analytics. "'Soccer: More Than a Game' captures the energy, creativity, and collaboration that define both science and sport," said Dr. Linda Silver, the museum's Eugene McDermott CEO. The exhibition opened on March 7 and runs through September, encompassing the entire North Texas World Cup.

AT&T Stadium, temporarily rebranded "Dallas Stadium" for FIFA, will host nine matches: five group-stage fixtures featuring Argentina (twice), England, the Netherlands, Japan, and Croatia, plus two Round of 32 matches, a Round of 16, and a semifinal on July 14. "We are thrilled with the teams selected to play at Dallas Stadium in Arlington," said Monica Paul, president of the North Texas FIFA World Cup Organizing Committee.
