Pilot Safe After Being Ejected From Plane Near Fort Worth Base

FORT WORTH, TX — A pilot is safe after being ejected from his plane in a crash near White Settlement Road and Lockheed Boulevard, White Settlement Chief of Police Christopher Cook said Thursday afternoon.

The crash occurred around 10:15 a.m. near the Fort Worth Naval Air Station Joint Reserve Base, NBC5 reported.

The outlet reported that the plane was a Lockheed Martin F-35B Lightning II fighter jet and that the incident occurred during a failed landing.
