Here are the top stories today in Dallas:

  1. Dallas police caught a murder suspect on the run, but their high-speed chase took a wild turn when the suspect crashed into someone else. Police attempted to stop him in the Red Bird neighborhood near Interstate 20 and Highway 67. They said he took off headed east on I-20 and at times driving 100 miles per hour. The suspect lost control a few minutes after the chase began, eventually hitting another driver, and abandoning his vehicle. Police apprehended the suspect after he ran inside a nearby trucking company. (FOX 4 Dallas)
  2. Dallas-based auto lender Santander Client USA Inc. is being sued again by the U.S. Division of Justice for denying U.S. military customers' rights. The DOJ allege that Santander violated the Servicemembers Civil Relief Act. The corporate, appearing as Chrysler Capital, is cited "for unlawfully rejecting early lease termination requests from certified service members who sought to terminate their motorcar leases."   3. Police are searching for a man who robbed a Jack in the Box located in Dallas. On Sept. 21 at 2 p.m., the suspect pulled a gun on a worker in the drive-thru lane. The restaurant is at 1301 N Hampton Road. (CBS Dallas / Fort Worth)
  4. Hundreds more students receiving special education services as Dallas ISD clears referral backlog. (The Dallas Morning News)
  5. Dallas Mavericks to require COVID-19 vaccinations for fans, or proof of negative test. (CBS Dallas / Fort Worth)
