Here are the top three stories in Dallas today:

  1. The Dallas Police Department has released body cam footage of the shooting that occurred at a gas station in Northeast Dallas. Kyle Dail was shot by department officers during an arrest. Dail was transported to a local hospital and died from his gunshot wounds on Thursday. (WFAA.com)
  2. Stephen Colbert is pleading with the Dallas Cowboys to allow St. Vincent to sing the National Anthem at an upcoming game. The popular singer told Colbert during the taping of The Late Show that she has offered her musical talents several times to the team. It is unclear whether or not the team will listen this time around. (Dallas Observer)
  3. A mother and her three children were injured during a major crash near Interstate 20 and Polk Street on Friday morning. The woman reportedly ran a red light and was struck by a pickup truck. The woman was taken to a local hospital for critical injuries. The children only suffered minor injuries, according to the Dallas Police Department. (FOX 4 News Dallas-Fort Worth)
