Fort Worth - In a notable act of corporate giving combined with a love for food, Raising Cane's, the fast-food giant famous for its chicken finger meals, has renewed its ongoing support for community outreach, Metro Dallas News reported.

For more than 12 years, the company has been a steadfast supporter of Kidd's Kids, a Dallas-Fort Worth based nonprofit founded by the late radio icon, Kidd Kraddick.

On Wednesday, August 30, Raising Cane's aims to raise $100,000 in just one day through a straightforward fundraising effort. For each Box Combo sold, the company will donate $1 directly to Kidd’s Kids.

“We have been able to raise over one million dollars for Kidd’s Kids because of our awesome Crew, who really get behind this and are proud of it, and our Customers who come out and support,” said Raising Cane’s founder Todd Graves. “I began listening to the Kidd Kraddick Morning Show when I was a young entrepreneur. I’m proud of the work we’ve been able to do with Kidd’s Kids over the last twelve years and look forward to doing it again this year.”

Building on the day's charitable spirit, Raising Cane’s is partnering with the Kidd Kraddick Morning Show to welcome both past and current Kidd’s Kids beneficiaries. This gathering will take place at Raising Cane’s Grand Prairie location at 3158 South State Highway 161, starting at 11 a.m. Central Time. To show their inclusivity, families who have previously benefited from the Kidd’s Kids program are invited to enjoy complimentary Box Combos at select locations during the August 30 fundraiser.

Founded in 1991, the Kidd's Kids initiative was originally created to provide life-changing experiences for children facing severe illnesses and medical challenges. The program has since evolved to offer all-expense-paid trips to Walt Disney World for selected families. During this five-day getaway, the children and their families can take a break from their medical routines to enjoy the numerous attractions at the famous amusement park.

The Kidd Kraddick Morning Show, broadcast on over 65 radio stations nationwide and through the American Forces Radio, airs from 6 to 10 a.m. Central Daylight Time, Monday to Friday.
