Fort Worth, Texas - The Fort Worth Fire Department responded promptly to a fire on September 12, 2023, at 9:00 PM. The fire occurred at the Borough apartment complex, located at the 5900 Block of Greenspoint Drive, after numerous emergency calls from its residents.

When the fire teams arrived, they found multiple apartments in the complex on fire. Engine 20 successfully rescued two residents from one of the burning apartments. As these residents were led to safety, other members of the team provided necessary medical care to prevent further injury.

Three residents needed medical care due to the fire. Two were taken to nearby hospitals for thorough examination and treatment. The third resident received medical attention at the scene. Additionally, a dog was rescued from the fire by the fire crew.

The fire was under control after about one hour, affecting 12 apartments in the process. As a result, eight tenants had to leave their homes. The American Red Cross Greater North Texas assisted the affected residents by providing immediate disaster relief.

During the firefighting efforts, two firefighters suffered minor burn injuries. However, the Fort Worth Fire Department has confirmed that they are expected to recover.
