  1. Rebel Convention, a new performing arts convention, is coming to Dallas. The event geared toward children between the ages of 10 and 19 will be held at the Marriott Uptown Hotel from Apr. 29 through May 1. There are three enrollment options available with differing price points and offerings. (Blue Ribbon News)
  2. Are you looking for your new favorite brunch spot? You are in luck because Dallas has been named by LawnStarter as one of the best cities for brunch enthusiasts. Dallas landed in the 19th spot behind Nashville and above Phoenix. McKinney and Austin were the other two Texas cities that made the list. (CW33 Dallas)
  3. The City of Dallas has named Joaquín Zihuatanejo as its first-ever poet laureate. The poet grew up on the streets of Old East Dallas and will now proudly serve as its ambassador of the literary arts.
