- The City of Dallas is reportedly preparing for resistance to sweeps of local homeless encampments. The sweeps are primarily conducted to clean the areas and to close encampments. During a closure sweep, the city's staff will try to get the residents into some form of housing. During a cleaning sweep in July under Interstate 45, crews were met by armed activists. (Dallas Observer)
- H-E-B has announced that its first Dallas area supermarket will open on Sep. 21. The new location is in Frisco at 4800 Main Street, north of Dallas. The supermarket will start its curbside pickup service on Sep. 19 — before the location officially opens. The new location will feature an art piece for shoppers to take social media photos. - A new study by Angi, an online home services company, reports Dallas home lot sizes are below the national average. According to the study, Texas lot sizes are only 9,540 square feet.
