Here are the top three stories today in Dallas:

  1. Dallas police have advanced the sexual assault case against a Duncanville Pastor to Dallas prosecutors. Two sisters, Renee Phillips and Donna Fields, were the first to accuse Rickie Rush, a pastor of the megachurch Inspiring Body of Christ Church in Duncanville, of assaulting them in the 1990's when they were teens. 61-year-old Rush has remained pastor of the church amid calls for him to resign and has denied the allegations. (WBAP News/Talk)
  2. 10 new restaurants have opened, and six others have closed in Dallas-Fort Worth recently. Among the restaurants to close, some temporarily, include Saap Lao Kitchen, Pizza Lounge, and Trompo in Oak Cliff. A lot of new restaurants have popped up all over Dallas, such as Sclafani's New York Bagels and Bread, Fish City Grill, and Rodeo Bar. (The Dallas Morning News)
  3. The Black Bodies, White Spaces exhibition at the Green Family Art Foundation gallery will be closing soon. Since its opening last October, the exhibition has tackled white gatekeeping in art, along with other issues. Black Bodies, White Spaces: Invisibility & Hypervisibility, which portrays Black bodies in ways not seen in mainstream media, will close on Jan. 27. (Dallas Observer)
