Here are the top three stories in Dallas today:
- Iconic downtown Santander Tower is transforming some of its office space into residential apartments. The Elm Street high-rise will be transformed by Adolfson & Peterson Construction. The revision plan will create 228 multifamily units in the tower. The plan will begin this summer. (CultureMap Dallas)
- A woman apparently fired a handgun at Dallas Love Field airport on Monday. According to the Dallas Police Department, 37-year-old Portia Odufuwa discharged a firearm near the ticket counter during the incident. A department officer shot her in the "lower extremities" before she could injure anyone else. The shooting ultimately led to flight delays. (Dallas Patch)
- A report by The Dallas Morning News indicates that the gap between CEO and worker pay rates continues to climb in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. The gap is now as high as 2,457 to one.
