  1. As part of a new pilot program, FedEx has started using a small number of self-driving trucks to haul goods between Dallas and Houston. The program is a partnership between FedEx, autonomous vehicle startup Aurora, and heavy-duty vehicle manufacturer Paccar. Aurora's co-founder Sterling Anderson believes the program will evolve and extend beyond the handful of trucks on the Dallas-to-Houston route as the company gets "closer to a driverless capable product."(Yahoo!   2. A Dallas HVAC trade school owner has been sentenced to nearly 20 years in prison for fraud. Jonathan Dean Davis, 43, was convicted by a federal jury of seven counts of wire fraud and four counts of money laundering in connection with his for-profit school, Retail Ready Career Center. Davis misled student veterans and fraudulently charged $72 million of their tuition and fees to the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs under the Post-9/11 GI Bill.   3. Dallas police officers responded to a shooting Wednesday night in the 1500 block of North Beckley Avenue, which killed one and injured another victim of an armed robbery. (NBC 5 Dallas-Fort Worth)
