Officer Santander was killed in the line of duty. He's being honored in Dallas Tuesday.

DALLAS, TX — A Dallas cop is being laid to rest Tuesday after being shot last week in the line of duty. Officer Rogelio Santander died Wednesday at Texas Health Presbyterian Dallas, a day after being shot.
Santander was shot by a shoplifting suspect at a northeast Dallas Home Depot. His partner, Officer Crystal Almeida, and Home Depot security guard, Scott Painter, were critically injured too, FOX4 reported.
“When he was little, he used to play soccer with his father. His father had a team when he was little,” said Mauricio Garcia, Santander's uncle, according to FOX4. “And he talked about wanting to be a police officer. Like I said, he accomplished his dream.”
