Sleet Moving Into North Texas: Winter Weather Watch

Reports of icy conditions and slick roadways are pouring in as a band of winter weather moves into the area from the west.

Wintery weather is bringing slick roadways and downpours of freezing rain to the metroplex. Now in Fort Worth, the band of winter weather will continue to affect driving conditions across the Dallas-Fort Worth area until 12:00 p.m.

A Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect until noon for portions of North Texas. According to the National Weather Service, ice accumulations of a few hundredths of an inch are possible on roadways and sidewalks. This is enough ice to cause slick and potentially dangerous roadways, so drivers should use caution when traveling Sunday morning.

Police in North Richland Hills report several icy roadways and bridges across the city.
