Southlake Parks & Rec Volunteer Jailed For Child Sexual Assault
The voluntary board member is being held at the Keller holding facility on a $100,000 bail.

SOUTHLAKE, TX — A 41-year-old man from Southlake was arrested Monday on one charge of continuous sexual assault of a child under 14, according to a press release from Southlake Police Department. The man, Miguel E. Salinas, has been a volunteer member of the Parks & Recreation Board in the North Texas city since 2015.
Police received a report they say led to the investigation of Salinas. He was arrested and is currently in custody at the Keller holding facility on $100,000 bail. According to the release, no further information is available, and the investigation into Salinas' actions is still ongoing.
Officials in Southlake report they received no word of misconduct about Salinas until the tip that led to his Monday arrest.

Parks & Recreation board members are appointed to the office by Southlake City Council. The council and the mayor were informed of Salinas' arrest. The mayor and council will review Salinas' continued involvement with the board as his case progresses.
