The Toasted Yolk in Southlake made Sunday morning a bit brighter for a group of local firefighters. The staff provided free breakfast for the crew in honor of International Firefighters’ Day which is celebrated each year in May.

“We are invested in making sure our community is cared for,” said Hassan Bhatti, owner of Toasted Yolk. “Our first responders are our unsung heroes, and it was an honor to acknowledge all they do for us.”

The Toasted Yolk team packed the meals to go in case the firefighters had to leave quickly on an emergency call. This gesture is part of a large effort by the restaurant to become a staple in the community.

“We believe that businesses that do good, do well. This will be the first of many ways we show up for Southlake,” Bhatti said.
