CASA 5K on St. Patricks Day
We are planning our first ever fun run! Come join us for a wonderful time to support CASA of Bell and Coryell Counties in our mission to serve children living in the foster system with a CASA Volunteer. Entry fee will be $25 per participant. More details about registration will be coming soon and include the ability to be a virtual participant. Participants who register early will receive a T-Shirt. We have commitments from Green Milk Shake coupons from McDonalds at 4 N. 31st Street Temple Texas at the end of the trail, a Temple Fire Dept. Truck, community tables with food and fun favors, a rock hunt with Belton Rocks and more! The trail is a 5k walk or run through Friars Creek Hike and Bike Trail located at 5000 S 5th Street, Temple TX. We have the park on Saturday March 17, 2018 from a 7:30 check in until 3pm. We want you to celebrate the “Luck of the Irish,” in traditional green or Irish attire. So, save the date for you, your family, your friends, and your pet to participate and support CASA on a lucky fun filled day.
A Word Of Caution
Please don't drink and drive this St. Patrick's Day. The Dallas Police Department will hold a no-refusal DWI initiative from March 1 to midnight on March 19. During this period officers will obtain a search warrant for a blood sample from all persons arrested for DWI who refuse to voluntarily give a breath or blood sample.
