St. Patrick's Day Parade: Road Closures

There will be several road closures in the area and an increased police presence along the parade route and in the lower Greenville area.

DALLAS, TX -- The City of Dallas is hosting the 40th annual Saint Patrick’s Day Parade and Festival Sat., March 16 at 11 a.m. There will be several road closures in the area and an increased police presence along the parade route and in the lower Greenville area, Dallas Police said in a news release.

The parade starts on Greenville Avenue at Blackwell Street and travels down to SMU Boulevard. Northbound Greenville Avenue to Park Lane will be closed starting at 10 a.m. and southbound Greenville Avenue to Mockingbird Lane will be closed at 9 a.m., DPD said.

This stretch of Greenville Avenue, between Park Lane and Mockingbird Lane, will be closed in both directions until 4 p.m.

"The Greenville Avenue Block Party will start once the parade finishes and will end at 9 p.m. Dallas Police officers will be staged along the parade route and in the lower Greenville area to provide security for parade participants and spectators. Citizens are encouraged to seek out officers if they need any help or have any safety concerns," DPD said.
