Here are the top three stories today in Dallas:

  1. Some North Texas residents are getting their gasoline stolen straight from their vehicle's gas tank. Some thieves are even bypassing locking fuel caps by drilling through them. The recent fuel tank thefts are being spurred by rising gas prices. Thankfully, most vehicles produced after 2015 prevent siphoning. (Patch)
  2. Mandy Moore has canceled her upcoming concert in Dallas. The cancellation is reportedly due to her decision to focus more on her newly expected baby's health. The singer was expected to perform at Strauss Square on Jul. 6. All tickets will be refunded by the purchase venue. (CW33 Dallas)
  3. Protestors are demanding the City of Dallas focus on addressing housing inequity. According to community activists, the City Council's recent $7.9 million in District 4 affordable housing projects is not enough. The activists do not want to see more affordable housing in areas that are already affordable. They want affordable housing throughout the entire city. (The Dallas Morning News)
