Storm Chances Possible Early Next Week In Dallas: Looking Ahead

Heavy rainfall and lightening are possible from Monday to Wednesday in North Texas.

DALLAS, TX — After a lengthy dry spell, North Texas could again see rain as a storm system brings gusty winds and the chance of isolated storms up from Central Texas.

The National Weather service reports an isolated storm or two is possible Thursday evening. An area southeast of a line formed by Temple, Athens and Paris could see storms during evening hours.

The main threat of storms kicks in Sunday, with a 40 percent chance of storms across North Texas. That chance continues to climb into Monday, when the chance of storms peaks at 60 percent.

Rain will bring cooler temperatures to the metroplex with highs in the mid 80s on Saturday. Those temperatures will climb back up to 90 degrees by Monday, the Weather Service says.

These storms are not expected to be severe, although cloud to ground lightening and localized heavy rainfall are possible.
