Storm Watch: Hail, High Winds Possible In Some North Texas Areas

Areas southeast of the metroplex face a possibility of damaging storms Tuesday afternoon.

DALLAS, TX — Storms are on their way to North Texas, and by the afternoon, some people southeast of the metroplex could see strong winds and large hail.

The National Weather Service issued a hazardous weather outlook for the area southeast of the line formed by

Goldthwaited, Dallas and Bonham, with the highest chances of severe weather isolated to the mid-late afternoon hours.

The tornado threat remains low for Tuesday, but the Weather Service says the possible tornado could occur if conditions shift.

Strong winds will range from 25 to 40 miles-per-hour in the area north of the line formed by Eastland, Palo Pinto and Bowie.

Storm chances return to North Texas Thursday and will remain through Saturday.
