Storms Strike Across North Texas Monday

The FAA has ordered a ground stop at DFW Airport in anticipation of arriving storms.

DALLAS, TX — Thunderstorms capable of producing strong winds and occasional heavy rain are moving through the Dallas area Monday afternoon. Lightning and strong downbursts are possible as the storms meander through the area.

These storms are hovering mostly northwest of Downtown Dallas, but a small band of rain could make its way through downtown in the next several minutes.

Irving and Coppell residents will see the most rain before the system moves away from the area, weather radars indicate.
