Here are the top three stories today in Dallas:
- Earlier this week Dallas Superintendent Michael Hinojosa told his fellow superintendents on a call that he plans to leave his post. He will leave the district before the end of the year, while trustees find a successor for him. Hinojosa has not yet said publicly what his next plans are, though there are discussions of Seeking public office. (The Dallas Morning News)
- A man has died after a shooting at the 8100 block of Barclay Street on Wednesday morning. At about 11:00 AM, officers arrived at the scene where they found a man who had been shot multiple times. The police are investigating the incident and have not found a suspect yet. (CBS Dallas / Fort Worth)
- Dallas police are currently searching for a woman who is accused of sexually assaulting a child. They haven't released too many details only that the assault happened on New Year's Day at the 7800 block of Campbell Road in front of Haggar Elementary School. Anyone with information on the suspect or incident should contact the Dallas Police Department Child Exploitation Unit. (FOX 4 Dallas)
