15-Year-Old Girl Escapes Sex-Trafficking Operation
Police in Irving arrested Richard Lee Dixon after a girl escaped from a sex-trafficking ring. His bail is set at $250,000.
IRVING, TX — Police in Irving are investigating the human trafficking case of a 15-year-old girl reportedly compelled into involuntary prostitution by a 35-year-old man. The girl met the man in early November, according to Irving police. He led the girl into sex work, but she escaped and was recovered by Dallas police.
In an interview with investigators, she "made an outcry of the trafficking and prostitution." The man, identified as Richard Lee Dixon, is in jail on a charge of trafficking of persons. His bail was set at $250,000.
Investigators believe there are additional victims of Dixon's prostitution operation. Police ask any victims or anyone who knows someone who might have been a victim to contact Irving police at 917-273-1010. Callers should reference case number 17-26134.
