TCU concessions hitting home run with new ballpark bratwursts

With baseball season in full swing, fans at Texas Christian University (TCU) are cheering for The Horned Frogs – and for the new sausage and bratwurst roster at The Lupton Baseball Stadium.

New concessions include The Fast Ball Mac & Brat featuring jalapeno cheddar sausage, jalapeno and mac & cheese; The Sac Bunt, a cheddar beer brat with nacho cheese, Fritos and pico on a pretzel bun; The Home Run Brat, a beer brat sausage, sauerkraut, bacon, and grilled onions on a pretzel bun; and The Grand Slam, a burger with pepper jack cheese, andouille sausage, jalapenos, and grilled onions on a jalapeno cheddar bun.

TCU Dining by Sodexo launched the new sandwiches this season.

The line-up was initiated when Kyle Hollingsworth, operations director, and Jerry Grefer, general manager for Sports & Leisure, worked with their representative for Johnsonville Sausage on the food concepts.

“The concepts were then put in the capable hands of TCU Chefs Wade Goodmay and Rashelle Solano who created the innovative recipes,” said Scott Majestic, general manager of TCU Dining.
