The quickest way to get caught up on the most important things happening today in Dallas.

Hey, everybody! It's Friday in Dallas and I'm back in your inbox to get you caught up on all the most important things happening in our community today. Let's do this.
First, today's weather:
Plenty of sunshine. High: 93 Low: 77.
📢 I'm looking for business owners and marketers in Dallas who want to build awareness, connect with customers and increase sales.
I have a limited number of sponsorships available to introduce our Dallas Daily readers to local businesses they need to know about. If that's you, then I invite you to learn more and secure your spot now.
Here are the top three stories in Dallas today:
- The Dallas Independent School District is reportedly expanding its recruitment efforts past Texas state lines. The district is struggling to hire an adequate amount of bilingual educators. According to the district, over 70 percent of its student are Hispanic. The district is 99 percent staffed for the 2022-2023 school year. (NBC DFW)
- The rumors turned out to be (partially) true: As social media posts swirled on Wednesday about a "loose and prowling" tiger in the Oak Cliff area, Dallas police officers and U.S. Marshals recovered a caged tiger cub from a home in the 2700 block of Meadow Gate Lane. According to officials, the cub was discovered while executing a federal search warrant on the property, and then turned over to Animal Control. Meanwhile, the Dallas Zoo assured the community that none of its animals had escaped. No further information has been released at this time. (Fort Worth Star-Telegram)
- The State of Texas has executed Kosoul Chanthakoummane, 41, for fatally stabbing a Dallas real estate agent in July 2006. Chanthakoummane was executed through lethal injection at the Huntsville state penitentiary. He was convicted of killing Sarah Walker, 40, in a McKinney model home. (CBS News)
