From grocery stores to government offices, here's a look at what is open and closed on Thanksgiving in Dallas.

DALLAS, TX — Thanksgiving is only a few days away — that means most people will be away from work and enjoying quality time with friends and family. But not every store or office will be closed. Here's a look at Dallas stores, government offices and more — and their hours for Thursday.

  • Post offices: Closed
  • Federal offices: Closed
  • City of Dallas offices: Closed Thursday and Friday.
  • Libraries: Closed Thursday and Friday.
  • Animal Services: Closed Thursday, but officers will still respond to emergency calls placed through 311.
  • Municipal Courts Building at 2014 Main: Closed Thursday, Nov. 23 and Friday, Nov. 24.
  • Sanitation: Trash will be picked up Wednesday, Nov. 22 for Thursday customers.
  • Dallas County Offices: Closed Thursday and Friday
  • Local Schools: Closed
  • Dallas Zoo: Open noon to 4 p.m.
  • Grocery Stores:
    • Albertsons: Open 6 a.m. to 4 p.m.
    • Kroger: Open
    • Walmart: Opens at 6 p.m.
    • Tom Thumb: Closed
    • Brookshire's: 7 a.m. to 10 p.m.
    • Sprouts: 7 a.m. to 4 p.m.
    • Whole Foods: 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.
    • Dollar General: Open
    • Market Street: Closed
    • Aldi: Closed
    • Trader Joe's: Closed
    • WinCo: Closes at 3 p.m. and reopens at 7 a.m. Friday
    • Fiesta Mart, La Michoacana: Hours vary by location
    • Sam's Club: Closed
    • Costco: Closed
    • Target: Opens at 6 p.m. Thursday
