Thanksgiving Traffic Plagues Dallas Roadways

Accidents on Dallas North Tollway and LBJ are causing delays of 9 to 15 minutes.

DALLAS, TX — Traffic has begun to pile up on Dallas roadways as holiday travel kicks into high gear. Some accidents, extensive construction and stalled cars have caused delays throughout North Texas. Some of the most notable delays are on Central Expressway, I-35, 635 and Dallas North Tollway.

An accident in the center lane of eastbound 635 LBJ Freeway at Preston Road has caused stop-and-go traffic back to Webb Chapel Road. Drivers should expect a delay of 14 minutes at this time.

Another accident on southbound Dallas North Tollway at Park Boulevard has caused a traffic backup to Legacy Drive. Drivers should expect a nine minute delay in this area.

No accidents have been reported I-75 or I-35, but construction and a high volume of vehicles is contributing to the traffic.
