Here are the top stories today in Dallas:

  1. Stay spooky this Halloween season with help from the Omni Dallas Hotel, which is hosting a trio of terrifyingly fun events over the Halloween weekend. First, trick or treaters can stop by the hotel as they make their way through the Trick-or-Treat on Downtown Streets event, hosted by Downtown Dallas Inc. Families are also invited to gather on the Pegasus Lawn on Friday and Saturday night for screenings of "Hocus Pocus" and "The Nightmare Before Christmas," respectively. For a break from all the candy, guests can enjoy creepy cocktails and devilish desserts at The Owners Box. (CultureMap Dallas)
  2. People who were displaced from a Dallas apartment complex after an explosion said their homes are still unlivable. Nearly a month after the explosion at the Highland Hills Apartmentstenants were given the okay to move back in. However, some residents are reporting that their electricity is still out, and broken glass and bugs are everywhere. (FOX 4 Dallas)
  3. Dallas County is looking at four different redistricting proposals. (Star Local Media)
  4. Musician Corey Dill was seriously injured during a robbery while in town to play a gig in Deep Ellum with his band Brother Moses. (CBS Dallas / Fort Worth)
